¶ Library upgrade in different versions
In each release for INTAMSUITE NEO, lots of verification and updates jobs are done during our internal lab testing on various materials and models. This is one of the key advantage for users to upgrade to the latest version. How to deal with the legacy project files contains old material or old profiles? Start from INTAMSUITE NEO 2024.0, we build up the machanism to remind our user to keep or update their project/study.
So we are sure user can slice the model in legacy project as it or update them to the latest version.
¶ Preset template update
Not only provide the latest preset printers, materials and printing profiles, INTAMSUITE NEO also backup the database to ensure we can open the legacy files user created on 2023.0 and also 2023.1, In future this process will be followed. Benefits are:
- No need to worry about losing data and slicing results during updating to latest version
- Easy to compare with the latest version to understand the changes in update (may use Study comparison to compare the legacy study and the copied study in latest version. )
- For the worst case, user can still use the previous settings to generate slicing G-code to ensure the print quality
The Options are as below:
- Keep as it: Use the legacy profiles and it will add some default new parameters without chaning any other slicing parameters, slice it will get identical slicing results except the neccessary updates.
- Manually upgrade the profiles: Back up the study or project as it, and refer to Red-Circle-2 or Red-Circle-3 to update related template as we want.
- Auto-update to latest: Refer to Red-Circle-4, hit the small lighting icon will update all the templates to latest.
¶ Custom template update
Custom templates are stored in the database, INTAMSUITE NEO 2024.0 will continue use them even they are created on previous release. INTAMSUITE NEO 2024.0 can interpret the project files based on custom profiles without any problem.
¶ Slice Results Update
By any chance user modified/updated profiles, it will reminds user to update the slicing results. User can choose to keep it or re-slice. The Results update remiding icon will appear in situation below:
- Templates update
- Model is moved or rotated to other location
- Modified slicing parameters
- Modified extruder assignment
- Add a new model or delete a model and so on.
