¶ Driving Motor - Y Axis
¶ Steps:
a. Power machine off, unplug the main power cable. Use knob wrench to remove the back cover.
b. Y driving motor assembly is positioned on the upper side of backside of machine. Figure 6.2-1
c. Remove 3 screws with 2.5mm Allen-Key and take cooling fan off. Figure 6.2-2
d. Remove 2 screws in each coupling and move 2 couplings close to motor. (rotate coupling to get the other screw) Figure 6.2- 3
e. Move to printing chamber, remove red highlighted screws with 2.5mm Allen-Key, and remove the blue highlighted cover. Figure 6.2-4
f. Unplug the cable to the motor. Now, there is enough space to remove 4 screws fixing the mount of motor. Then, take the motor off. Figure 6.2-5
g. Remove the 2 couplings, remove 4 screws and separate the motor and the mount.
Notice: Don’t try to remove the motor directly off the mount, the shaft and coupling interfere moving the motor out. When tighten the screws in 2 couplings, make sure to position the coupling in the center.
