¶ Build-plate Heater
¶ Steps:
a. Power machine off, and unplug the main power cable. Use knob wrench (Figure 1.4-1) to remove the left and back cover.
b. Remove 3 cables in UPS & Power Board (Figure 4.4-1). Remove J34 in main board (Figure 4.4-2)
c. Remove the cover of cable raceway, cut cable ties and take these cables out (assembled together). Figure 4.4-3. Cut black shrinkable tube, remove the black wraps and separate the cable of heater and over-heat protection switch.
d. Open the front door, remove 11 screws fixing the upper plate with 2mm AllenKey and remove the upper plate. Notice the 2 screws in the center (Blue highlighted in Figure 4.4-4), when they are removed, 2 nuts in backside of build-plate will drop, which the over-heat protection switch can be removed. e. Then, carefully pull the cable of heater out of the hole in the left arm of buildplate. Figure 4.4-5. If the cable of over-heat protection switch made interference, pull it out together with other cable.
f. Install the new heater, put on the black wrap, fix the cable assembly with cable ties, recover the cable connectors.
g. Power machine on and do build-plate leveling again.
