A print profile includes the complete list of print settings and the parameters set, which depends on the 3D printing strategy. INTAMSUITE NEO provides preset profiles which are validated by INTAMSYS lab and used directly in general applications. If needed, you can take the efforts of fine-tuning all available settings in your scenarios.
The availability of print profiles is dependent on the 3D printer, nozzle and material configuration currently active. For dual extrusion printer type, its print profile consists of two base profiles, from which the parameters take effect depends on the extruder assignment. And its values can be overridden.
When the printer and extruder have been configured, you can slice the model directly since a default print profile template will be selected based on the printer type, materials and nozzle size. Usually the recommended print profile is used.
Go to Ribbon→Home tab→Process panel, and click profile to choose a print profile template from library, including preset and customized ones.
Sometime you need to adjust certain printing parameter based on the selected print profile template, and you can just go to Ribbon→Home tab→Process panel→Profile command, and click on Detailed Settings to open profile management dialog. Here you can override any value without changing its raw template in library, even ones customized by yourself in profile library.
Extruder: Assgin the desired extruder to print each features for models. You can see more parameters under By Feature print mode.
Options: Override all other printing parameters here.
To tune the parameter of Options page in Profile Managament dialog, you can:
Switch to different level of print parameters set. If you want to see and control more, please go to Advanced even Expert, and the latter one includes all ones we support currently.
Use browser tree to quickly navigate to the parameter you are interested in.
Get parameter name and from which material base profile the parameter value is (decided by Extruder assignment), and you can get it overridden if needed.
Save current settings as a print profile template into library to reuse later.
Commit the changes for the current study to slice the model.
Note:
In-place overrides of print profile can only work for current study, and has no effect other studies in the same or different projects.
If you select to use another print profile, the overrides on the previous profile will be gone. We will improve this in the near feature.
Sometimes there are no any recommended and matched print profiles for specific material combinations, especially for newly created materials in material library. You can create a print profile in place by grouping two base profiles. Of couirse, there are some prerequistes to custom a valid print profile, for example, the layer heights defined in two base profile shoud be equal. You have no need to know all of them, and will be notified before slicing and then go to make an adjustment.
Note:
There are several base profiles for each material evenly newly created, and currently they are not allowed to edit. If you'd like to update some values, please click on Detailed Settings to tune the custom Print Profile in-place or go to profile library to create a print profile template.
The print profile created in place only work for current study, and has no effect other studies in the same or different projects.
